37th ARRS - DaNang AB, RVN
1972 Yearbook
In 1972, the Vietnam War was winding down. It was clear to the men still in Vietnam that they would all be going home soon. In order to remember their tour of duty, the squadron commander of the 37th ARRS based at DaNang Air Base, RVN decided to put a yearbook together. Not everyone in his unit was enthusiastic about putting their name, photo, and duty description in a single source document that was being printed by Vietnamese civilians. It occurred to many in this squadron that we were still flying combat missions and that a copy of this yearbook might find its way to the enemy in North Vietnam. Because of these information security concerns, not everyone who served in the 37th during this time is pictured in this book. In spite of these concerns about security, the book was printed and it does provide a great source of information with lots of photographs of the men and equipment of this famous Jolly Green squadron.

Note: This yearbook was scanned and converted to digital
images and sent to me several years
ago by a member of the 37th ARRS with the last name of Lambert.
Unfortunately I have lost his first name and contact information. Using his
digital images, I spent several days compressing them so that they could
be viewed with a 56K modem on the internet.
